Jamie’s Review Honestly this was REALLY good. I am mostly disappointed that it wasn’t longer. I like the idea, the setting, the characters, and the actual execution. I thought that the writing was a little stiff and dense but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the novella. I thought that the idea that we create a network that could produce consciousness was SO interesting. I just wish that the ending wasn’t so open. Actually I’m glad the ending is so open because there is room for more from this series. I am very intrigued and very happy […]

Dani’s Review I was dying to get my hands on this book, so much so that I preordered one of the alternative covers from Waterstones, specifically the one with the flaming crown. The premise sounded kickass, a dark and twisty battle between three sisters, each with her own power. With such high expectations, the reality was made just that much worse for me. Guys, I was bored. Which is why I DNF’d at 36%. Honestly, now that I’m studying, I have very little time for reading, and I decided it was better to spend that time reading books I was […]

One of the features here at Books Are My Fandom is our Two Peas in a Pod Review. We will read and review a book as a team. We are choosing books we each haven’t read that sound good to us. Feel free to email us at hello@booksaremyfandom.com with your suggestions for books that Dani and Jamie should read! Dani’s Review DNF @ 26% I liked the start. I did. But then it went downhill. I’ll keep this simple. This is fanfiction with the names changed, and it reads like fanfiction. But with original names. I was getting along ok until […]

For once, Dani and Jamie were in complete agreement with this book. We both thought the exact same things about each of the plot points we liked and disliked, which is quite surprising. Typically, we will think the majority of the same things, but Dani will think something *cough*romance*cough* should have been included more whereas Jamie does not think so. But not with REBEL OF THE SANDS! We both really liked this one but aren’t in a hurry to pick the next one up – although we will. This is a fun and fast-paced book that left us flipping pages but […]
