#1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with a new heart-wrenching love story.

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn't even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn't want love, she doesn't have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don't expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can't handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated. Promises get broken. Rules get shattered.

Love gets ugly.

Look I really wanted to like this one. I have a love-hate relationship with romance but the idea of people looking for just sex and then realizing “oops I love you” is my go-to. That’s what the summary of this one sounds like so I was like “yup sign me the fuck up” except it wasn’t that at all. Right from the get go, Tate is half in love with Miles and is just faking it til she can make it in terms of not wanting a relationship. And I wasn’t here for that.

Another thing that was like “wtf” to me was that Miles hadn’t been in a relationship OR had sex for six years but apparently decided that he should have a sex only relationship with Tate. Like ??? It just wasn’t believable at all to me. I would have bought it more if he had had a couple one night stands at least and maybe another casual, no strings attached relationship, but to have this LOVE TO END ALL LOVES relationship, then nothing, then a no strings attached relationship was ????? to me.

I wasn’t overly affected by Miles’s point of view. I thought his past was pretty predictable tbh. I had it pegged right from his first chapter, which is fine except it didn’t make me like him? I feel like it might have been better to be left in the dark and see Miles in the present to see him fall for Tate rather than falling for another girl? Sure we saw he was “capable” of loving someone and that he was super tortured or whatever but so what. Also I didn’t like how his chapters were written. I found them really off putting and hard to connect to.

The best part of this story was Rachel’s point of view and that was like the third last chapter? So I hung on but it wasn’t a really good payoff tbh. I thought that Rachel’s chapter was the most emotional and heartbreaking which is saying a lot considering how much other stuff happened.

Overall, I’m disappointed in my first foray into the world of Colleen Hoover, who is basically a Queen in the NA world. And all the people that are going to comment saying “Okay but you should try THIS CoHo book!!!” please refrain. I’m not interested so don’t sprain your wrist typing.

Aww, too bad you didn’t like it. I haven’t read any books by Colleen Hoover yet, but I’m still planning to. I think I’m going to read It Ends With Us first, because everyone is going beyond crazy for that (although that doesn’t necessarily mean I will like it). I do think she is hilarious on social media.

  2. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW BADLY I WANT TO SPRAIN MY WRIST RIGHT NOW, BUT I’M TRYING VERY HARD NOT TO… I can’t… the struggle is real… Just try Maybe Someday, K?? Lol R xx
